Project Description
The house is located in a building from the 70s, which has a pillar structure and one-way reinforced concrete slab.
The project seeks to modernize the house, whose interior layout had become obsolete. With the reform, wider spaces are achieved, through the strategy of exchanging the positions of the kitchen and the bathroom, and annexing the first and part of the corridor that previously existed to the living-dining room. In this way, in addition, a more direct entrance to the laundry room in the interior patio is achieved, since the access door to it is interchanged, which is still in the kitchen. The bathroom, in its new position, also gains in surface area, occupying almost double what it previously had. On the other hand, two existing rooms are unified, each measuring less than 6m2, to achieve a double bedroom, spacious and comfortable for the user. The rest of the rooms remain in their original position, including living-dining room, terrace and master bedroom. The finishes and facilities are also renewed to adapt to the current project and era.
The new home, different in many ways from the original, adapts to the clients’ requirements through these strategies.
